Leadership - 9th grade 2016-17
This year equips participants with peacebuilding skills, strengthens the knowledge of how to lead, and solidifies what being a leader really means. The staff helps strengthen relationships among the young leaders to foster the ability to deal with the challenges and opportunities of growing into young adults in a conflict zone. Select participants travel to Washington D.C. for the Global Institute. There, they meet experienced religious, diplomatic and civil leaders, participate in dialogue and leadership skill workshops, tour around the US's capital, participate in public speaking events, learn about and engage in public advocacy, and much more. It is a rigorous and incredibly rewarding experience that gives the youth unparalleled ability to take home the skills they learn and be leaders in their communities.
During the Leadership year, youth learn different approaches towards peace work, they learn to be leaders in their communities, to engage deeply with the Conflict and meet with leaders and organizations working towards peace.
Participants are obligated to participate in all meetings. The cost of the program is 900 NIS and should be paid by check or online at registration. Summer camp fee is 4800 NIS (including flight to America).
